Tadley Youth Centre

Planning Approval

6 November 2014

Our new-build Youth Project, designed in collaboration with the young people of Tadley, has received planning. The building, with its geometric roof structure, is clad in dark grey fibrous cement while the internal spaces, made up of exposed plywood, appear as though hewn out of a single block of wood.

The new two-storey, 410m2 building caters for around 100 young adults and houses two multi-purpose halls, a series of activity pods and break-out spaces, music room, meeting room, catering, and WC facilities, as well as an outside all-weather recreation space.

Adrian Noad, Chairman of Tadley & District Community Association, said: “It’s been great working with Design ACB on the new Tadley Youth Project. Since we started working with them just over 12 months ago on the initial Feasibility Study, they have demonstrated a complete understanding of our original brief that the Youth Project should have a distinctive identity of its own – influenced by the youngsters themselves. What has been proposed is a wonderful interpretation of those ideas.”
