Stoner House

Wins Planning

6 January 2016

Plans for the extension and redevelopment of this existing 5-storey building in Crawley town centre have been approved.

The scheme improves the existing massing with a 4-storey roof extension, new facades and landscaping, creating an attractive living environment and making a positive contribution to its site at an important intersection in the town. The redevelopment breaks down the existing into three strong and complementary forms which reduce the perceived mass of the building. Each of these forms vary in size and proportion and respond to their location on the site.

Materials have been selected to define the scheme as residential yet also complement the surrounding mix of commercial and residential buildings

The consent enables the delivery of much-needed accommodation in a highly accessible, sustainable location within Crawley’s town centre.
