Hub Building
PROJECTS / Education
The Hub Building will exhibit and accommodate the university’s 24/7 life and provide the best study environment for both the students and the staff. The 4,300m2 building houses a 500-seat lecture theatre, multi-function studio space, 120-cover ‘Wagamama-style’ teaching restaurant, 200 individual study spaces, bookable classrooms and seminar rooms, touch-down study spaces, and roof terraces.
The large multi-function spaces are located on the lower floor of the building. The lecture theatre and studio are flexible spaces which can be used for teaching in the day, and transformed into performance and event space outside of formal teaching hours.
The upper levels of the building house the more private study and teaching spaces, including stop-off and touchdown spots as well as longer term private spaces.
Positioned on the key gateway corner is the University-run learning restaurant; a public eatery and a place for the School of Hospitality to learn, experiment, research and exhibit.
