Emanuel School Science Building
PROJECTS / Education
Our competition entry for the new science facilities and dining hall at Emanuel School in Clapham aims to create an inspiring and cohesive environment for students.
The design incorporates dedicated 21st-century lab spaces that consolidate subject-specific areas in one location. With a strong emphasis on adaptability, our design allows for future curriculum and timetable changes, ensuring long-term flexibility.
The centralised dining hall is acoustically separated from the teaching spaces beyond and doubles as a valuable event space for the school. Pupils can spill out into a new landscaped external space adjacent to the hall.
The new building is highly visible from the school’s approach and gatehouse, contributing to the school’s distinct identity and reinforcing its brand image.
