This deep retrofit and heavy cut and carve project proposes a new commercial and retail building that will contribute to the rejuvenation of Archway.
The workplace element offers a mix of traditional units and co-working space. Internal partitions can be moved, allowing for varied types of workspace occupancy (open, cubicle, half partitions or team enclosures) and types of tenants.
An existing ground floor retail tenant is proposed to be phased into a new unit as part of the redevelopment.
The facade of the building will be stripped back to frame and re-clad while all internal partitions and building systems will be replaced. This offers the opportunity to provide not only flexibility in use, but a more sustainable building in terms of energy consumption.
