Richard Burgess

People / Richard Burgess

Richard joined Ayre Chamberlain Gaunt in 2010. As an Associate, his role has been developed to integrate into design teams at crucial stages to advance and steer the projects design. This may be at the early stages of a scheme when initial direction is needed or equally in the later project stages to maintain design quality throughout. He also plays an integral part in design workshops, helping team members to resolve design and technical issues.

Richard has been key in the studio’s CAD and BIM development over the years and still plays a role in much of our IT evolution.

Richard is a studio tutor at the University of Portsmouth, tutoring undergraduate students on a weekly basis. He is also part of the RIBA Student Mentoring programme, introducing students to the architectural practice throughout the year.
