People / Paul Avery
Paul is an experienced Senior Architect who joined us in 2018, having been in practice since 2005. He employs a rigorous process-driven and design-led approach on projects, routed in the exploration of innovative and sustainable architectural solutions that are grounded in commercial and technical viability.
Paul works collaboratively throughout a broad range of sectors and contexts, responding to diverse client needs. He has extensive knowledge of BIM, Passivhaus and passive design strategies, which encompass an interest in learning from biomimetic design.
Paul’s experience and interest in Masterplanning & Urban Design draws on his continued research into city and urban planning and community-engaged regeneration strategies. He is currently working on a number of residential projects, including leading the design teams on a large residential estate regeneration.
Paul followed the office-based route to qualification, being nominated for the RIBA Silver Medal during this time, and has also been a visiting guest critic at Oxford Brookes University and the University of Portsmouth.
