Roundtable

The first in our series of roundtables took place on Tuesday, with our guests exploring the real challenges of working with the many 20th century buildings that make up university estates.

From heritage conservation approaches to weighing up the pros and cons of demolition, we heard fascinating perspectives on both sides of the retention vs replacement debate. It was great to follow up with a site visit to one of our current projects with the University of Reading, where we could see some of the issues we discussed in a ‘live’ setting.

A huge thank you to all our guests for sharing their expertise and bringing such thoughtful insights to the discussion. The range of perspectives made for a really valuable conversation.
