Horsham Enterprise Park
Plans submitted for 260 new homes

Horsham Enterprise Park is an 18.6 acre site housing a former Novartis pharmaceutical facility north of Horsham town centre. Dating back to the 1930s, the site features a central boulevard lined with mature cedar trees leading to the former company headquarters, a striking interwar, Art Deco style building and tower. These heritage buildings are to form the centrepiece of the new 260-home residential development, creating a distinctive new neighbourhood for Horsham.
The residential scheme is split 65% market and 35% affordable and shared ownership, with the key objective of maximising the offering of family homes as well as incorporating a variety of housing.
Our proposals feature a series of townhouses that line and define the central boulevard, mews houses with first floor living that sit along the site boundary, and defining gatehouses that provide a welcoming threshold to the site.
At the heart of the scheme is the conversion of the art deco office block, and its later 1970s extension, into residential apartments. Key features include a new undercroft car park that sits beneath a landscaped courtyard, a new roof featuring penthouse units, as well as a series of surrounding apartment blocks that step down and mediate the scale between apartments and housing.
