Haringey Housing
Plans Submitted
27 July 2017
We’ve submitted plans for 72 new homes at Plevna Crescent in Haringey. The development is arranged over four apartment blocks and offers a mix of studio, 1, 2, 3 and 4-bed apartments. The proposed scheme embraces the existing landscape and responds to neighbouring residential areas to create a strong sense of place and community for future residents.
A family of four lightweight pavilions, ‘float’ on top of a grounded stone plinth. At ground floor, gabion walls create a sturdy base that helps bed the scheme into the landscape. Cedar shingle cladding reflects the ecological setting and the irregular texture compliments the non-uniform arrangement of windows. Over time the walls will be inhabited by local wildlife, bringing nature and ecology into the development. Green roofs will also offer habitat for existing ecology.
