Back on Site
Construction post-COVID
26 June 2020
This month the team has been back on site and it’s been great to see the progress at Bronze, Claywood House, Bartholomew Street, The Boulevard and Barnet & Southgate College. It’s also been interesting to see how things have changed in response to COVID-19.
Olly Wood, who visited a number of sites last week said:
“The way the teams have responded to social distancing and other health and safety measures has been excellent. Sites are cleaner and people are more aware of their wellbeing and the wellbeing of others. We’ve also embraced virtual site visits as a way to limit the number of people on site.”
At Bronze in Wandsworth Business Village, the unitised cladding and glazing continues to progress up the 20-storey building. The commercial mezzanine is also being installed.
The landscaping is going in at Claywood House, a new 5-bedroom home set within a beautiful orchard in Hampshire.
At Bartholomew Street the Metframe superstructure is nearly complete and the slabs are being laid. The project will deliver 60 apartments for independent ‘later living’ together with communal facilities, concierge services, guest accommodation, retail units and car parking.
The building is designed as a series of 3 and 4-storey blocks arranged in a C-shape and centred around a split level landscaped courtyard.
And there’s been lots of progress at Barnet & Southgate College where we have been working on a muli-phased redevelopment of the Southgate Campus.
